ID 2 Human Dissection: Lower Extremity Concepts

Prerequisite: 

Attendees MUST have completed our ID 2 course, either online or in-person.

Course cost: $1200

Course description: 

The ID co-founders are proud to bring you our first IN-PERSON ONLY cadaver dissection experience.

• Class limit: 20 people 

• Attendees per cadaver: 6 maximum 

• Dissection experience NOT required

• ID 2 online or in person course completion is required before this dissection course can be completed

• Cadaver patient type: fixed (embalmed)

Students will be performing dissections through the two day event on the following structures:

​

Day 1: 

• Gluteal region, posterior thigh, posterior crural, tarsal tunnel, sole of foot, as well as their surrounding neurovascular bundles, ligaments, fascia, and skin

Day 2: 

• Anterior and medial thigh, anterior and lateral crural, dorsum of foot, as well as their surrounding neurovascular bundles, ligaments, fascia, and skin

 

Daily schedule:

• 8-9 AM: Intro to dissection, walk through prosection 

• 9 AM to 11:30 AM: dissection in the lab

• 11:30 AM to 12 PM: ID 2 assessment review in partners (in lecture room)

• 12 - 1 lunch (Please bring your own lunch - we suggest staying on-site)

• 1-3:30 PM: finish dissection in the lab 

• 3:30-4 PM: ID 2 assessment review in partners (in lecture room)

Prosections will be visible on one side of the cadaver patient (performed by the ID teaching team). This will enable attendees to study one side while they dissect the other side, for best visualization. 

 

The ID Teaching Team will be staffed one per table so that all dissection is guided by experienced dissectors. 

 

We will not only be dissecting our amazing cadaver patients, but we will also perform movement-based labs on 30-min breaks to ensure your ID 2 Lower Extremity Concepts skill integration! 

 

We will also review our ID Pure Patch Palpations as we dissect, to improve your visualization of what we palpate.

The famous ID Dissection boards used in ID courses will be present!

A new set of ID waivers will be available to complete before the course, as well as waivers for the Institute of Anatomical Research.
